If you’re after something rich, something a little decadent, try this small taste of caramelized heaven. This frosting will enrich your favorite cake, be it vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut, or coffee.

Combine all the ingredients either in a microwaveable bowl and soften in the microwave or in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of barely simmering water. Stir until glossy and then let the frosting set slightly before using so that it holds its shape and doesn’t trickle off the sides of the cake.
