This sauce perfect for last-minute desserts. If you always have some good-quality vanilla ice cream or salted butter caramel ice cream in your freezer, as well as a variety of brown and demerara sugars, you’ll be able to try a number of different variations.
Once the sauce is thick, remove from the heat and add a variety of ingredients:
Some dark chocolate with grated orange peel and Grand Marnier, praline paste and strong coffee, peanut butter, maple syrup, or vanilla extra
