Method

Have ready 4 dessert plates.

Heat the butter in a skillet, add the pineapple pieces, and sprinkle with the sugar to caramelize.

Spoon over the pan juices while cooking. Set aside half of the pineapple pieces. Put the remaining pineapple pieces in a blender and process until smooth and sauce-like in consistency.
