When I was a little girl, we had a type of Jell-O instant pudding known as “angel delight.” It came in all kinds of flavors, but today, the only one that’s of any real interest to me apart from those providing a little nostalgic pleasure) is the “Butterscotch.”
Combined with a quality scotch shortbread cookie made with butter and demerara sugar, a spoonful of applesauce, and a piece of fudge, it creates a blend of flavors that’s totally contrived, but utterly irresistible.
