  • ¼ cup (50 mL) butter
  • 3 large onions, peeled and thinly sliced

Method

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Heat the butter in a skillet and, when it begins to bubble, add the onions.

Cook over moderate heat for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently so that they become soft and caramelized. Add a little sugar if you want a more pronounced ca
