This dish of mackerel rundown will rarely be seen after breakfast time but it is a huge favourite in Jamaica. Serve with boiled green bananas, boiled flour dumplings and yam. A few slices of fried ripe plantain and a wedge of avocado will make it totally authentic. But don’t plan to do too much for the next few hours.
