Soak the mushrooms as in the recipe for Riz au Djon-Djon. Heat the oil and butter in a heavy saucepan and sauté the pieces of salt pork until they are crisp and brown. Add the garlic, bell pepper, chives, parsley, thyme, cloves, salt and pepper to taste, corned pork and codfish, and sauté lightly for a minute or two.

Add the rice, and stir for 2 or 3 m
