  • 1 lb. white sweet potatoes
  • 4 oz. finely grated fresh coconut

Peel and grate the sweet potatoes. Mix with the coconut in a large bowl. Soften the butter and beat in. Add the allspice, baking powder and salt to the orange and lime juice and add, stirring to mix thoroughly. Add the eggs, raisins, ginger and mixed fruits and peels, again stirring to mix thoroughly. Pour into a greased baking dish or loaf tin and bake in a
