In the run-up to Bonfire Night pumpkins are cheap and abundant, and it is a shame to let them go to waste. This jam, with its glorious orange colour, is a superior version of the more commonplace marrow and ginger jam, lovely for breakfast, even better with fresh cream cheese, or fromage frais for pudding. The quantity made will obviously depend on the size of your pumpkin.
