Method

You can buy rendered beef fat at any good butchers, but it is easy to make yourself.

In a large pot, slowly melt the beef fat over a low heat. It will probably take up to about 1 hour to fully render. Pass the rendered fat through a strainer lined with muslin cloth to remove any remaining solids.
