  • About

Wild purple muscadines and tawny scuppernongs entwine among the hardwoods and pines throughout the South. Like Concords, they are native American “slip-shin” grapes that are available at farmers’ markets and grocers throughout the country during their ephemeral season. If you can’t find scuppernongs, use any of the native American grapes. If you use Concords, add a little lemon zest and juice for flavor.
