This is a favored southern dessert, often called “cup o’, cup o’, cup o’,” for its simple batter of 1 cup milk, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup flour. It is utter simplicity to make. Use perfect summer peaches, or, as we did for this spring-time luncheon, frozen ones. If you use frozen peaches, you can thaw them in a microwave, adding a little sugar and lemon juice to encourage juiciness.
