You don’t have to be a master baker or get up at 3 am to make something exceptional for a baked breakfast. With a bit of planning and some preparation you can still have that lie-in, plus have a delicious buttery brioche bun that tastes as good as the ones from that trendy bakery down the road.

Ingredients

  • 190 g ( oz) strong (baker’s) flour

  1. Put the flour, sugar, yeast, eggs and egg yolk in the bowl of a freestanding electric mixer and attach the dough hook. Knead on low speed for 10 minutes before adding the salt. Mix again for a further 5 minutes.
