  • About

This salad has elements of the tasty Indian street food snacks papri chaat and bhel puri. The key ingredient here is a spice mix called chaat masala, which includes dry mango, black salt, cumin, pomegranate seeds, coriander, mint, ginger, asafoetida and cloves. The overall taste is a mix of zingy, sour, sweet and salty flavours. When I visit India, I always try to eat from a number of papri chaat and bhel puri wallahs, each with their own unique recipe.
