Every Bengali household has their own chicken curry recipe. I was taught this one by family members in my twenties. It has become a family favourite that brings comfort and joy every time we eat it. Typically, we cook this on the bone, often carving a whole chicken into 10-12 pieces and removing the skin. It works equally well with chicken thighs on or off the bone.
