Marinated Turnips

  • ¼ lb. turnips
  • 1 ice cube or 2 teaspoons

Method

To prepare the turnips: Peel and slice them paper-thin with a cleaver or with strokes of the peeler. The slices must be so thin as to be pliable. Marinate them with the remaining ingredients for 2 hours, then squeeze them dry.

To prepare the prawns: Trim off the legs and feelers of the prawns and dry them individually. Fry them in deep fat until golden and drain well. Sprinkle the fried
