This is a frozen version of the cold tart, which is as close to the authentic American as I can find - with a few personal twists, like using caramel ice cream. You can of course use any ice cream you fancy making - or buying.

Ingredients

Base

  • 225 g/8 oz crushed biscuits, such as Duchy Originals organic ginger, orange, or any digestives or ginger nuts

Method

Butter a 23 cm (9 in) loose bottomed cake tin.

Mix the biscuits with the melted butter. Fill the cake tin with the biscuits and press over the bottom easing about
