Method

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F), Gas Mark 5. Beat the sugar and maple syrup with the butter until the mixture is light and creamy. Add the egg, beating constantly. Then add the flour, chocolate and nuts and stir with a wooden spoon. Shape the dough into a roll, wrap it in cling film
