Torte tastes best if baked at least one day ahead.

Here is a chic bittersweet chocolate torte with lots of freshly grated orange zest — devised especially for Passover, but lovely all year round. No flour, a generous quantity of ground almonds, and a handful of matzoh meal give this dessert a characteristic nubbly texture. You don’t have to be Jewish to enjoy it!
