I like the idea of using coffee, a favorite flavor, over and over again in a dessert with several different textures. Layers of crisp coffee almond meringue and tender coffee génoise are suffused with Kahlúa and filled with creamy coffee buttercream. Serve it with—what else?—a great cup of strong coffee.
