In a small bowl, combine Simple Syrup with the Kahlúa and 3 tablespoons rum. Set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, mix cream cheese until smooth and slightly fluffy. (Do not overmix, or it will become thin and runny.) Beat in the strained ricotta. Gradually pour in heavy cream. Add confectioners’ sugar, the remaining 3 tablespoons rum, and the vanilla. B
