This is another lovely Shaker idea. The radishes retain their crisp texture but take on a new dimension when they are simmered in cream.
Thinly slice the radishes. Place in a small saucepan with the cream and simmer very gently, covered, for about 8–10 minutes. The cream may look as if it has curdled but a few stirs will make it smooth again. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
