Basic recipe: Pitta

This is simple to make and deliciously unusual. Serve it with a meze course, or on its own with butter as a snack.

Ingredients

  • Pitta Bread dough
  • 1 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 15 ml spoon (1 tablespoon)

Method

Make up the Pitta Bread dough. When it has risen the first time, punch it down and mix in a chopped onion lightly fried in olive oil, and a little extra olive oil (about a 15 ml spoon/1 tablespoon).
