  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a deep, heavy-based frying pan, add the onion and cook for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and chilli and cook for 5 minutes, or until the onion is soft. Add the turmeric, coriander, cumin and cloves and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
