  • 95 g ( oz/½ cup) wild rice

Method

  1. Put the wild rice and stock in a saucepan, add the butter, bring to the boil, then cook, covered, over low heat for 1 hour. Drain.
  2. Put the basmati rice in a separate saucepan with cold water and bring to the boil. Cook at a simmer for 12 minutes, then drain. Mix the rices together in a bowl and leave to cool to room temperature.
