  • 1 garlic clove, cut in half
  • oil, for shallow-frying
  • 4 slices white bread, crusts removed, cut into cubes

Method

  1. Rub the cut garlic over the base of a frying pan. Pour about 1 cm (½ inch) of oil into the pan and fry the bread cubes for 1–2 minutes, until golden. Drain on paper
