Asparagus, although a recent arrival in the Thai kitchen, has become very popular. Here is a simple recipe that highlights the great natural flavour of asparagus.


  • 450 g (1 lb) fresh asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon groundnut


Cut the asparagus on the diagonal into 7.5 cm (3 in) segments.

Heat a wok or large frying pan over high heat until it is hot. Add the oil, and when it is slightly smoking, add the chillies and aspa
