This satisfying lamb dish supplements curry powder with additional coriander and cinnamon, lending a sweet-scented accent that works well with the strongly flavored meat. For a heartier dish, stir in ½ pound (250 g) cubed red-skinned potatoes during the last 20 minutes of cooking.

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp peeled and chopped fresh ginger
  • 3 cloves

Method

In a blender, combine onion, ginger, garlic, and chile and process to a paste. In a small bowl, stir together coriander, curry powder, and cinnamon.
