Asparagus and other vegetables can be nicely presented by resting them on the bottom half of a puff pastry rectangle.
To make puff pastry rectangles, simply roll out the dough and cut to the dimensions you like. Brush with egg wash and bake in a 400° oven until fully puffed. Slice the rectangles horizontally in half, creating a top and bottom. Place blanched, cooled, and dried asparagus spears or other vegetables on the bottom half
