These delicate cookies are studded with tiny pieces of sliced almond—-just enough to provide a little contrast of texture in an exquisitely pure and simple cookie. These are perfect cookies for tea or with ice creams and sherbets.

Ingredients

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon

Method

  1. In the work bowl of a food processor fitted with the steel blade, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Pulse several times to mix.
  2. Add the butter and pulse until the butter is uniformly mixed. Add the sliced almonds and pulse again once or twice.
  3. Add the cream and vanilla and pulse until a sticky dough forms.
