Instead of basting precooked, frozen broiler-fryers with pan drippings, baste them with this sauce: Mix and bring to a boil 2½ c. water, 1 tblsp. brown sugar, 2½ tsp. pepper, 2 tblsp. pan drippings or salad oil, ¼ c. vinegar, 2½ tsp. salt, 2 tblsp. Worcestershire sauce, 2 tblsp. finely chopped onion, 1 tsp. dry mustard, 2 tsp. chili powder, ½ tsp. Tabasco sauce and 1 clove garlic.
