  • 3 (2½ to 3 lb.) broiler-fryers
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼

Method

  • Wipe broilers with clean damp cloth.
  • Mix remaining ingredients.
  • Spoon this sauce inside and outside of chickens; let stand for 30 minutes.
  • Place chickens on spit.
  • Brush with sauce, turning so chickens brown evenly (if you don’t have revolving-type broiler or spit).
  • Cook about 1 hour—until leg pulls away easily.
