Celery Stuffing

Name: Celery Stuffing
Yield: Makes 6½ cups stuffing
Ingredients: ⅔ c. melted butter or regular margarine; ⅔ c. melted butter or regular margarine; 1 c. chopped onion; 2 c. finely chopped celery; ½ tsp. pepper; 1½ tsp. rubbed sage; 7 c. dry bread crumbs; 2 tsp. salt; 1¼ c. turkey broth (or canned chicken broth); 1¼ c. turkey broth (or canned chicken broth); ½ tsp. poultry seasoning; 1⅓ c. milk; 2 eggs, slightly beaten

This recipe makes enough stuffing to fill a 12-lb. ready-to-cook turkey

Ingredients

1 c. chopped onion
2 c. finely chopped celery
⅔ c.

Side dish

Method

Simmer onion and celery in butter until soft, but do not brown.
Combine with bread crumbs and seasonings.
Add milk, broth and eggs; toss lightly.
Stuff loosely into cavities of bird.
