Oven does the frying for you—fish comes out golden, sizzling, good


  • ½ c. butter or regular margarine
  • 8 fish fillets or pieces
  • 1 egg


  • Place butter in baking dish and place in preheated moderate oven (375°). Watch carefully while melting butter.
  • Dip fish in beaten egg, then in crumbs. Coat well. Place each filet in butter, turning to coat evenly. Season to taste.
