Spicy, colorful-with tomatoes— there′s a hint of bacon in the flavor


  • 2 lbs. flounder filets
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 thin slices lemon
  • ½. c. condensed tomato soup
  • ½ c. water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • Paprika


  • Place fish on top of 2 slices bacon in greased baking dish. Cover with remaining bacon and lemon slices.
  • Combine tomato soup and water. Add bay leaves, salt and pepper to taste and sliced onion. Pour over fish. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 30 minutes.
  • Place on heated serving platter. Strain sauce around fish. Sprinkle with paprika.
