Ingredients

  • 1 (3 oz.) can chow mein noodles
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • ¼ c. water
  • 1 (7 oz.) can chunk-style tuna
  • ¼ lb. cashew nuts, salted or unsalted
  • 1 c. finely diced celery
  • 1 tblsp. chopped green pepper
  • ¼ c. minced onion
  • tsp. salt (if cashews are unsalted)
  • tsp. pepper (optional)

Method

  • Combine all the ingredients in a 1½-qt. casserole, saving out ½ c. chow mein noodles. Sprinkle reserved noodles over the top.
  • Bake, uncovered, in slow oven (325°) 40 minutes.
