  • 3 lbs. fresh or frozen shrimp
  • 8 slices bacon

  • Clean shrimp. Fry bacon, cut in pieces, until crisp; drain. Set bacon aside. To bacon drippings add onion and cook lightly. Add garlic, shrimp, undrained mushrooms, tomatoes, tomato paste, consommé, basil, orégano, salt, sugar, mustard and Tabasco. Cook gently 10 minutes.
  • Combine flour and water to make a smooth paste. Stir into shrimp mixture and cook 1 minute,
