Distinctive macaroni casserole—good with coleslaw or lettuce salad

Ingredients

  • 1 c. elbow macaroni (uncooked)
  • ¼ c. butter
  • 1 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • ½ c. shredded Swiss cheese
  • ½ c. slivered cooked ham
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tblsp. minced onion
  • 1 tblsp. chopped parsley
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • tsp. pepper
  • c. milk, scalded
  • Paprika

Method

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Add butter; mix well.
  • Add remaining ingredients except paprika; mix well. Turn into greased 2-qt. casserole. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake in slow oven (325°) 40 to 45 minutes.
