Sprinkle dried parsley flakes on cheese-topped slices before baking

Ingredients

  • 1 (5 oz.) jar sharp pasteurized process cheese spread
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash of Tabasco sauce (optional)
  • ½ tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 large loaf Italian or homemade bread

Method

  • Soften cheese spread at room temperature. Stir in remaining ingredients, except bread.
  • Slice bread in thick slices almost through bottom crust and spread cheese mixture generously on one side of slices.
  • Wrap loaf in foil; leave foil open at top. Heat in moderate oven (375°) 15 to 20 minutes.
