Remove outside crust from fresh loaf rye (or white) bread. Cut crosswise into four equal slices.
Put slices together like layer cake, using 2 c. of your favorite chicken salad mixture between each pair bread slices, 6 c. filling in all. (Other good fillings are ham, egg, tuna, salmon and finely cut shrimp salads. Two or three kinds may be used for each “cake.”)</
