Hearty supper dish that tastes great


  • 2 c. dried lima beans (or 4 c. cooked or canned)
  • 2 tsp.


  • Cover dried beans with 5 c. water. Boil 2 minutes and then soak 1 hour, or overnight (cooking before soaking helps soften the skin which covers beans).
  • Add salt and boil gently until tender—about 45 minutes for small lima beans, about 1 hour for large. Drain.
  • Fry sausage until brown.
  • Mix all ingredients, except sausage.
  • Place half of
