Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
  • 3 tblsp. butter or regular margarine
  • 3 tblsp. flour
  • ½ tsp. curry powder
  • ¼ tsp. paprika
  • Dash ground red pepper
  • c. milk
  • ½ c. grated or shredded sharp process cheese
  • 1 (15½ oz.) can small whole onions (2 c. cooked)

Method

  • Cook broccoli as directed on package.
  • Melt butter; add flour and seasonings. Blend. Add milk; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add cheese; stir until melted.
  • Drain onions; add to drained broccoli in greased 1½-qt. casserole.
  • Pour sauce over vegetables. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 20 minutes.
