Ingredients

  • ¼ c. butter or regular margarine
  • ¾ c. chicken broth
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 5 c. diagonally sliced (¼ ) carrots
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • ¼ c. chopped parsley

Method

  • Add butter to boiling chicken broth. Stir in salt, pepper, sugar and carrots. Simmer, covered, until carrots are tender-crisp, about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in lemon juice and parsley.
