Ingredients

  • 1 frozen Pimiento Nest
  • 4 tblsp. melted butter or regular margarine
  • 2 tblsp. flour
  • 1 c. chicken broth
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • ½ c. diced celery
  • 1 c. diced cooked chicken

Method

  • Remove wrapper from frozen Pimiento Nest Place in casserole in which it was shaped originally. Drizzle with 2 tblsp. melted butter. Cover and bake in hot oven (400°) 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 30 minutes.
  • In the meantime, combine remaining 2 tblsp. butter and flour in heavy saucepan. Slowly add broth; stir constantly until sauce is smooth and thick. Season with salt and pepper. Add remaining ingredients; heat. Spoon hot mixture into baked Pimiento Nest.
