Just bake these seasoned tomatoes in the oven—no last-minute fuss

Ingredients

  • 6 tomatoes
  • 2 tblsp. chopped onion
  • 2 tblsp. butter
  • ½ c. bread crumbs
  • 2 tblsp. chopped parsley
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • tsp. pepper

Method

  • Cut stem end out of tomatoes. Cut tomatoes in halves and place in 13 X 9 X 2″ baking pan.
  • Cook onion in butter until soft. Add remaining ingredients and toss. Spread mixture on top of tomato halves.
  • Bake in hot oven (400°) until lightly browned, about 25 minutes.
