⅓ of Classic Sweet Dough (before kneading)
½ c. currants
1 tsp. grated lemon peel

Method

Remove one third of Classic Sweet Dough when mixed, before kneading. Work in the currants, lemon peel and mace; knead until dough is smooth and elastic, 3 to 5 minutes. Place in lightly greased bowl; turn dough over to grease top. Cover, let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
