Ingredients

  • 2 pkgs. active dry yeast
  • 2 c. milk, scalded and cooled to warm (110 to 115°)
  • ¾ c.

Method

  • Sprinkle yeast over warm milk; stir to dissolve.
  • Cream shortening and ¼ c. butter; add ¼ c. sugar and salt. Cream until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, yeast and enough flour to make a soft dough that leaves the sides of bowl.
  • Turn out on lightly floured board; knead until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl; turn greased side of dough up. Cover
