Change of pace and taste in waffles


  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • ½ c. warm water


  • Scald milk; cool to lukewarm.
  • Sprinkle yeast on warm water in large bowl; stir to dissolve.
  • Add milk, butter, salt, sugar and flour to yeast; mix thoroughly with rotary or electric mixer until batter is smooth. Cover and let stand at room temperature overnight.
  • When ready to bake, add eggs and baking soda. Beat well. Bake on preheated waffle i
