Ingredients

  • ¼ c. soft butter or regular margarine
  • ½ c. sugar
  • 1

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar; add egg and lemon extract. Drain pineapple, reserving liquid. Add crushed pineapple and nuts to creamed mixture.
  • Sift dry ingredients together. Add dates and mix well, separating date pieces with your fingers. Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture alternately with reserved pineapple juice plus ¼ c. water. Fold in the chopped maraschino
