Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 5 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp.

Method

  • Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cinnamon.
  • Add milk, shortening and flour mixture to eggs; beat until smooth. Fold in apples.
  • Heat griddle or heavy frying pan slowly until moderately hot. Test temperature by sprinkling a few drops of water on it—if they “dance,” temperature is right. Or use electric griddle, following manufacturer’s
